The LED are a better alternative to fluorescent or incandescent lamps.. An LED lamp emits light but not heat when electricity passes through them. A single LED operates with the same brightness as a 2 Watt bulb.
Should I use solar lights or low voltage landscape lights?Before making that decision first determine the purpose of your lighting needs and where the lights are to be places. If security is the primary purpose of your light needs and you require your lights to be constantly on then the low voltage variety may be best suited for you. Solar lights will no longer function once their battery is depleted. But if you’re looking for accent lighting or to feature your landscape such as trees, ponds, and walkways then solar lighting is an outstanding option.
How long do the solar rechargeable batteries last?The special Nickel-Metal Hydride batteries are designed to function at a fully charged level until they are fully depleted. Generally, these batteries operate for at least 1000 nights but are easily replaced once they no longer function. You will not need to purchase a new light fixture, only the battery.
How long do the LED lamps last?The LED lamps are very durable and should never burn out over the lifetime of the solar light product. Should the LED get damaged or broken, they themselves are not replaceable, you would need another fixture.
How long will solar lights stay on?Usually this depends on the size of the solar panel and size of the Nickel-Metal Hydride battery. Generally, you should be able to count on about 8-10 hours of light from a fully charged battery. How bright are solar lights?Conventional lights are more bright than solar lights but easy of display and no need for electricity make solar a very attractive choice for many reasons. The LED light source itself illuminates at different intensities. If need a brighter light, select fixtures with multiple LEDs. Case in point, with accent lighting around trees or plants may require just one LED per fixture. If you are trying to light a walkway, driveway or path and brighter lighting is desired look for more LEDs per solar light fixture.
